Obsolescence and Lifecycle Review, Spare Parts
Before a controller, I/O module or operator terminal fails with no spare on the shelf, TDL reviews the running control system: what is installed, which parts are no longer sold or supported, what the plant should keep in stock and which upgrades to plan first. Allen-Bradley spare parts are quoted on request.
What TDL does
Installed-base survey
Controllers, I/O, operator terminals, drives, networks, PCs and software versions recorded system by system.
Lifecycle status
Each item checked against the manufacturer's published lifecycle status, so discontinued and end-of-life parts are visible.
Project references
Backups
Programs and configurations backed up and compared with the previous version.
Critical spares
A list of the critical spares to keep on site, with current replacement catalog numbers.
Prioritised upgrade plan
Upgrades ordered by risk and planned around shutdowns, line by line or unit by unit.
Spare parts supply
Allen-Bradley spare parts for running systems and breakdowns, quoted from a list of part numbers and quantities.
