Phu My Fertilizer Plant – Tripper Car Control System Upgrade 2023
Working for the EPC contractor, TDL replaced the SLC 500 control system of the conveyor tripper car at Phu My Fertilizer Plant with an extreme-environment ControlLogix 5580 XT system in a new stainless-steel panel, from program migration and FAT to commissioning.

Scope of Supply
- Controller: ControlLogix 5580 XT controller (1756-L81EXT) with EtherNet/IP and ControlNet communication modules, in XT conformal-coated hardware.
- Remote I/O: Flex XT EtherNet/IP adapters and I/O modules on a Device Level Ring (DLR), with ControlNet fibre repeaters (1786-RPA / 1786-RPFM).
- Control panel: New stainless-steel IP55 enclosure with power distribution and motor protection for the travel drive and cable reel.
- Software: Migration of the SLC 500 program to ControlLogix; position and fault signals passed to the plant's FAM system.
- Testing & commissioning: FAT, site installation, loop test, commissioning, training and as-built documents.
