JVPC Rang Dong Field – RO Water Maker PLC Upgrade, SLC 500 to CompactLogix 5380 2025–2026
TDL upgraded the SLC 500 control system of the reverse osmosis water maker on a JVPC platform in the Rang Dong field to CompactLogix 5380, keeping the existing panel, field wiring and operator terminal, from site survey and FAT to offshore commissioning.

Scope of Supply
- Engineering: Site survey, upgrade strategy, migration of the SLC 500 logic to CompactLogix and updated wiring diagrams and control narrative.
- Hardware: CompactLogix 5380 controller with 5069 digital and analog I/O and a managed Ethernet switch, installed in the existing panel without changing field wiring.
- HMI: Existing PanelView application relinked from DH-485 to EtherNet/IP.
- Testing: FAT with the client's electrical and instrument team.
- Offshore: Installation, SAT and commissioning on the platform, training and as-built documents.
