FactoryTalk View SE and ME in TDL Projects
FactoryTalk View is Rockwell Automation's HMI software: the Site Edition (SE) monitors and controls distributed-server, multi-user applications, and the Machine Edition (ME) serves machine-level operator interface devices. It appears in 12 TDL projects from 2014 to 2024: 7 in oil and gas (gas distribution stations, offshore platforms, a gas terminal, a refinery), 2 at Phu My Fertilizer Plant, and one each in power, copper wire manufacturing and aquafeed. Eight projects name FactoryTalk View SE, one uses FactoryTalk View ME on a PanelView terminal (2021) and three do not name the edition.
Most entries replace older HMI: RSView32 to FactoryTalk View at Ba Ria gas distribution station (2014), Phu My Fertilizer Plant (2015), the PV GAS Thi Vai terminal (2023, keeping the redundant PLC-5) and BSR's 4 steam turbine generator systems (2024), and Citect to FactoryTalk View SE at Pha Lai II (2020). Other work includes an SE local station for an offshore generator and switchgear upgrade (2020), SE application changes at gas stations (2020, 2021), a new ME application for a demineralization system (2021), FactoryTalk View with a PLC-5 to ControlLogix upgrade at a copper plant (2021), SE displays with FactoryTalk Historian for a new aquafeed factory (2022) and software supply for an offshore ICSS (2019).
