CompactLogix in TDL Projects

CompactLogix controllers are Rockwell Automation's controllers for small to mid-sized automation applications, commonly machine-level control, skid-based systems and standalone production lines. They appear in 9 TDL projects from 2012 to 2026: 5 in FMCG and food plants (P&G Dong An, URC, Nestlé), 2 on offshore platforms and 2 in manufacturing (Crown Dong Nai, Samsung SEHC). Models named in the projects are CompactLogix 5370, CompactLogix 5380 and CompactLogix with 1769 I/O.

TDL migrated to CompactLogix from PLC-5 on a can body maker (2017), from SLC 500 on an offshore emergency generator and switchgear system (2020) and an offshore RO water maker (2026), and from failed Siemens PLCs on rooftop AHU, OAC and exhaust fan units (2026). New work includes the control system of a coffee extractor line (2015) and the CompactLogix program for a biomass processing system, for an EPC contractor (2022). At P&G Dong An, TDL upgraded packing line CompactLogix controllers to the new generation (2024–2025) and modified filler programs (2026), alongside its maintenance arrangement since 2012.
