PowerFlex Drives in TDL Projects

PowerFlex is Rockwell Automation's family of low and medium voltage variable frequency drives (VFDs) for precise speed, torque and direction control. It appears in 6 TDL projects from 2012 to 2026: four at P&G plants (Dong An in Vietnam and Cabuyao in the Philippines) and two at Crown beverage can plants. The models named are PowerFlex 755 and PowerFlex 525.

On Crown can lines, TDL fitted a PowerFlex 755 main drive and PowerFlex 525 auxiliary drives in a PLC-5 to ControlLogix cupper upgrade (2023), and connected PowerFlex 755 and 525 drives over EtherNet/IP when a body maker moved off DeviceNet (2026). At P&G, the work covers drive maintenance under the yearly arrangement since 2012, migration of legacy PowerFlex drives in the network modernization from 2024, PowerFlex upgrades on packing lines (2024–2025) and PowerFlex 525 conveyor drives on a new servo capper built for a machine builder (2025).
