Migration notes
- The Rockwell product page lists the category Functional Replacement but names no catalog number. The replacement table in 1769-SG003A (p. 14) lists 1769-L30ER, L30ERM or L30ER-NSE as replacements for the 1769-L32E; a system with more than 8 expansion modules needs a 1769-L33ER, L33ERM or L36ERM instead. When the I/O is renewed as well, CompactLogix 5380 is an option.
- The Rockwell lifecycle page lists 1769-L32E as the direct replacement, but 1769-L32E was also discontinued (16/12/2020); the equivalence table in 1769-SG003A (p.14) lists 1769-L30ER / L30ERM. Where the serial ports must be kept, use CompactLogix 5380 + 5069-SERIAL.
- Replacements for the 1768-L43/L45 and 1769-L31 controllers follow the equivalence table in 1769-SG003A (p.14). For the 1768-ENBT, 1768-CNB and 1768-CNBR modules the Rockwell pages name no replacement; the replacement follows the new controller.
Lifecycle status changes over time: confirm the current status on the Rockwell product page or in the Product Compatibility and Download Center before ordering.
