Get data from one PLC (including legacy ones) into a historian, OPC UA or a dashboard — at the scale of one machine before considering the whole plant.
Scope
- Survey of the PLC, protocols and tags required
- Design of the data path (gateway/OPC UA/driver) across the IT–OT boundary
- Configuration and data quality checks
- One sample screen/report for acceptance
- Tag and architecture documentation
Not included
- Plant-wide historian deployment (separate project)

Before building a historian for the whole plant, take data from one machine and try it out. The package covers a survey of the PLC (including legacy ones such as PLC-5 and SLC 500), the choice of a suitable data path (Rockwell driver, OPC UA or gateway) across the IT–OT boundary, configuration and data quality checks, and one sample screen or report for acceptance. The decision to expand is made once there are results from one machine.
