The Rockwell Product Lifecycle Status tool (read 05/11/2026, description "DRIVE 150A PEAK ULTRA 200") shows Discontinued 30/07/2010 with replacement category and catalog number both N/A; no Rockwell migration guide for ULTRA 200 was found. See the TDL proposal below. TDL proposal (not a Rockwell statement): migrate to Kinetix 5100, the family Rockwell recommends for Ultra3000 and Kinetix 3. Starting candidate 2198-E2150-ERS (78 / 162 A rms continuous/peak, 2198-RM003B Table 3, p. 10), rated 15 kW. The 1398-2.0 data sheet gives 65 A / 150 A (p. 12) without stating rms or 0-pk, so confirm the current basis, the load and the motor/feedback compatibility (motor may need replacing) before ordering. If 65 A / 150 A prove to be 0-pk, Table 8 (p. 15) pairs the 65 A / 150 A (0-pk) Ultra3000 2098-DSD-150 with the smaller 2198-E2075-ERS (49.0 (69.3) / 78.0 (110.3) A rms (0-pk) continuous/peak); its Table 8 peak of 110.3 A 0-pk is below 150 A, and Table 3 (p. 10) lists 127.49 A rms instead, so use it only after confirming the peak the application actually needs.
