The replacement table in 1769-SG003A (p. 14) lists 1769-L33ER or 1769-L33ERM as replacements for the 1769-L35E; the 1769-L36ERM replaces any earlier 1769-L3x controller. When the I/O is renewed as well, CompactLogix 5380 is an option.
