Stratix 8000 4+4-Port PoE Expansion Module 1783-MX04T04E (discontinued)

Rockwell lifecycle statusDiscontinued 30/11/2020 (read on 4 November 2026)
ReplacementTDL proposal (Rockwell names no catalog number)

The Rockwell product page lists the category Functional Replacement but names no catalog number. The Rockwell migration profile MIGRAT-PP043A (02/2020) lists this module as 'No Direct Option' in its Stratix 5800 column, so there is no Rockwell-named replacement. Expansion modules have no one-to-one successor in every setup: a Stratix 5800 modular base takes one expansion module (Stratix 5800 family page), while a Stratix 8000/8300 base could carry two (MIGRAT-PP043A sample combination 1783-MS10T + two 1783-MX08T; 1783-UM007Q p. 14: '6…26 port versions'), so check the whole base + module combination. TDL proposal (not a Rockwell mapping): re-size the whole switch on Stratix 5800 by total port and PoE count, e.g. a 1783-MMX8E module (8 PoE GE) on a modular Stratix 5800 base, or the PoE base 1783-MMS10E (8 PoE GE + 2 SFP GE). Catalog descriptions from the Stratix 5800 family page; the profile's sample combinations map 1783-MS06T + 1783-MX04E to 1783-MMS10E.
